EXPANDING OUR CONCESSION PORTFOLIO
Following the successful implementation of a 20 year BOT
contract in Vietnam, Salcon's combination of technical
expertise and ability to structure financing has placed us in
Agreement Exchange Ceremony between Changle
an ideal position to pursue other concession opportunities. In
Government and Salcon Berhad witnessed by YAB Dato'
Seri Ong Ka Ting, Minister of Housing and Local
China, Salcon secured a 50 year water supply concession in
Government.
Changle County, covering all aspects of potable water
including the completion of a new water treatment plant,
operation and maintenance of the plant and water
reticulation network, billings and collection.
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
We expect the market for concession type projects to grow
and are actively pursuing this segment. Our proven technical
2002/3 was a year of significant operating
expertise and strong project management skills allows us to
achievements. We successfully completed a

46 Johor Bahru Water Supply Privatisation Project,
Stage 3 for the design, supply & commissioning of
raw water and treated water pumpsets including

the Semangar Water Supply Scheme in Johor.
Reflecting confidence in Salcon, the Negeri
Sembilan water authorities, awarded the
Operations and Maintenance contract for the
operation, management and maintenance of
Sungai Terip Water Treatment Plant Phase I, II and
III and Kuala Jelai Water Treatment Plant, Phase 1
and 2, both located in Negeri Seremban as well as
monitoring of the Sungai Terip Dam for a period of
10 years.
