The Board of Directors of Salcon Berhad ("Salcon") is pleased to announce that Salcon had on 26 July 2007 signed a Memorandum of Understanding ("MoU") with Haining City Water Investment Group Co. Ltd to conduct feasibility studies for the Yan Cang Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase III works ("the Project") with an estimated cost of investment of USD29.5 million.
The Project involves the construction, operation and management of 100 MLD Wastewater Treatment Plant.
None of the Directors and/or major shareholders of Salcon or persons connected to them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the said MoU.
