Further to the announcement of 17 August, 2007, the Board of Directors of Salcon Berhad is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Salcon Engineering Berhad has received a Letter of Acceptance dated 30 August, 2007 from the Project Management Unit for Dong Nai Water Supply & Sewerage Projects for Contract CP2: Construction and Commissioning of Raw and Treated Water Transmission Pipelines in Dong Nai Province, Vietnam ("the Project").
The contract sum for the Project is approximately RM73 million, which is divided into JPY2,021,879,348 (approximately RM62 million) for the foreign currency portion and VND51,885,065,779 (approximately RM11 million) for the Vietnamese currency portion.
The Project will be implemented over a period of 25 months from the date of the Letter of Acceptance.
None of the directors and/or major shareholders of the Company, or persons connected with them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the Project.
