Further to the announcement of 3 September 2007 on the award of Contract CP 2: Construction and Commissioning of Raw and Treated Water Transmission Pipelines ("the Project") by the Project Management Unit for Dong Nai Water Supply & Sewerage Projects, Vietnam, the Board of Directors of Salcon wishes to announce that the Project will not have any significant effect on the earnings or net assets of Salcon Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2007. However, it is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of Salcon Group.
The risk factors for the Project include but not limited to those associated with changes in the economic, political and regulatory conditions in Vietnam such as changes to government policies and administration, interest rates, taxes and exchange control regulations.
