Salcon Berhad ("Salcon") is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Salcon Engineering Berhad, has received a letter of acceptance dated 27 December 2007 from Jabatan Bekalan Air, Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus for Proposal to Increase Pumping and Treatment Capacity at Sungai Terip Water Treatment Plant, and Piping Works to Bukit Mandom Reservoir, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus ("Project").
The contract value for the Project is RM22 million, and the construction period is 12 months from the date of site possession.
The Project will not have any significant effect on the earnings or net assets of Salcon Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2007. Salcon does not foresee exceptional risks other than operational risk associated with the Project.
None of the directors and/or major shareholders of Salcon, or persons connected with them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the Project.
