We refer to the article entitled "Higher Dividend Expected for Current Financial Year" in Nanyang Siang Pau of Tuesday, 16 March 2010 and wish to draw attention to the following quoted statements:-
(a) ".......... expects the net profit for this year to hit RM30 million."; and
(b) ".......... Salcon is looking to double its revenue to RM715 million for financial year 2010 and RM1 billion in 2012."
We wish to clarify that the quoted statements were strictly based on the management's internal targets for the financial year ending 31 December 2010 and the ensuing years. The targets have taken into consideration the revenue and profit from the current and prospective projects/investments.
We also wish to clarify that the quoted statements were not intended to refer to any financial estimate, forecast or projection of Salcon Group and have not been reviewed by external auditors.
