Salcon Berhad (“Salcon” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that Salcon Engineering Berhad, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, has on 8 November 2010 accepted the Letter of Award dated 8 November 2010 from Air Kelantan Sdn. Bhd. for the Refurbishment and Upgrading of Water Treatment Plants and Reservoir in the State of Kelantan, Package 2: Upgrading, Construction, Completion, Testing and Commissioning of the Pintu Geng Water Treatment Plant and related works in Kota Bharu, Kelantan (“the Project“).
The contract sum for the Project is RM52,462,086.25 and the contract duration is 20 months from the date of site possession.
The Project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings or net assets of Salcon Group for the financial years ending 31 December 2010 and 31 December 2011.
Salcon do not foresee any exceptional risk other than operational risk associated with the Project.
None of the directors and/or major shareholders of the Company, or persons connected with them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the Project. |
