PLACEMENT OF NEW ORDINARY SHARES OF RM0.50 EACH (“PLACEMENT SHARES”), REPRESENTING UP TO 10% OF THE ISSUED AND PAID-UP SHARE CAPITAL OF SALCON (“PLACEMENT”)

We refer to the announcements dated 24 November 2011, 1 December 2011 and 15 December 2011 on the above. The terms used herein shall, unless the context otherwise stated, bear the same meaning as those defined in the announcement dated 24 November 2011 in relation to the Placement.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Salcon, AFFIN Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that the issue price of the Placement Shares has been fixed at RM0.50 per Placement Share. The issue price of RM0.50 per Placement Share represents a discount of approximately 9.7% to the 5-day volume weighted average market price of the Salcon Shares up to 7 March 2012 of RM0.554 each.
